Individual brutally assaulted in a road rage incident faces potential double eyeball amputation during surgical procedure

In a shocking turn of events, a road rage assault and maiming incident that took place on Mallett's Bay Avenue in Winooski, Vermont, on Tuesday night has led to the arrest of Aaron Williams.

The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near Pine Street, when Williams, a 44-year-old resident of Shelburne, allegedly passed Ronnie Bushway II's vehicle and braked suddenly, potentially causing both cars to collide. After the collision, Williams is said to have exited his car and assaulted Bushway, a 46-year-old resident of Winooski, punching him several times and gouging his eyes before fleeing the scene.

The victim, Ronnie Bushway II, has sustained severe eye injuries as a result of the attack and is still unable to see. Court paperwork suggests that one of his eyes, or possibly both, may need to be removed.

The attack on Bushway was a random incident. Aaron Williams, the accused, was arrested due to a prior violation of his parole conditions before the alleged street robbery and injury of Ronnie Bushway II. He was arrested at his work in Burlington on Thursday.

Williams pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated assault and maiming during a court appearance on Thursday. He is currently being held in jail without bail.

Ronnie Bushway II provided police with dash camera video of the attack, which helped lead to the arrest of Aaron Williams. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the potential consequences of road rage incidents and the importance of maintaining composure while driving.
