Indulging in Pancakes at The Breakfast Joint

The Breakfast Club in Brighton is a charming eatery that evokes a sense of diner-era nostalgia. Established in 2005, this restaurant has been serving up delicious breakfast and lunch options for over a decade.

One of their standout dishes is the Huevos Rancheros. This Mexican-inspired meal includes two fried eggs, refried beans, salsa, avocado, and a tortilla. It's topped with crispy tortilla strips and served with a side of sour cream and guacamole. For an added twist, Dann, our fellow diner, opted for a fried chicken breast added to his Huevos Rancheros.

The staff at The Breakfast Club are kind and more than happy to explain menu items if needed. They ensure that each dish is prepared to perfection, as evidenced by Dann's Huevos Rancheros meal, which included two perfectly cooked eggs, tons of beans, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and crispy tortilla strips.

For those with a sweet tooth, the blueberry pancakes are a must-try. These American-style pancakes come as three large pancakes with blueberries pressed in. They're dusted with powdered sugar and served with warm maple syrup.

The Breakfast Club also offers a lunch menu with classics like club sandwiches and sweet waffles. If you're in the mood for something a bit heartier, the Homestyle potatoes are a great choice. These well-seasoned fried chunks of potatoes can be topped with chorizo and cheese, or enjoyed in their original form. The nacho-style cheese and slightly spicy chorizo add-ons add an enjoyable kick to the dish.

The food at The Breakfast Club arrives quickly, despite the restaurant being busy. Whether you prefer indoor or outdoor seating, there's a spot for everyone. And don't forget to wash it all down with a drink – Dann had a coffee, while the author enjoyed a tart pink lemonade.

As you explore the menu at The Breakfast Club, you'll find that they truly shine during breakfast time. However, their lunch options are equally delicious. If you've enjoyed this review, be sure to check out other restaurant reviews to discover more culinary gems in Brighton and beyond.
