Industrial blaze in Arnsberg-Herdringen industrial zone contained by firefighters - Flames held in check
On August 21, 2025, a fire broke out in an industrial facility belonging to Arvato Supply Chain Solutions, located in Herdringen. The blaze involved a filter system within the production hall.
The fire department was alerted at 14:56, and a team of emergency responders swiftly arrived on the scene. Thanks to their prompt and professional response, the fire's spread was prevented, and damage was minimized.
A total of approximately 24 personnel, including the main stations in Neheim and Arnsberg, the Herdringen fire brigade, the Holzen fire group, the Hagelstein rescue service, and the police, were involved in the operation.
Upon arrival, the team entered the production hall wearing breathing apparatus to combat the fire and extinguish the affected filter system. Ventilation measures were initiated using two fans to clear the hall of smoke. After completing the ventilation, burnt filter residues were removed from the system.
Unfortunately, a company representative was lightly injured by inhaling smoke. The rescue service conducted an on-site examination and found no health concerns for the injured individual.
