Ineos Grenadier Now Reduced in Price Due to Revoked Trump Tariffs

Ineos Lowers Prices of Grenadier and Quartermaster in Response to Tariffs

The US market has seen a significant change in the pricing of the Ineos Grenadier and Quartermaster, following the introduction of tariffs under the Trump administration. The move comes as the company aims to boost sales in its most important export market, the US.

Before the tariffs, the starting price for the Ineos Grenadier was $76,700. However, the price was raised to $80,500 shortly after Trump's tariffs hit. Now, the starting price for the Ineos Grenadier has been reduced to $72,600, marking a decrease of 8.4 percent.

The Quartermaster pickup, which was previously priced at $96,500 earlier this year, has seen an equally significant reduction. The starting price for the Quartermaster pickup is now $86,000, a decrease of about 9 percent.

The price reductions across the Ineos Grenadier lineup extend beyond the base model. The Fieldmaster version of the Ineos Grenadier, which was previously priced at $84,700, now starts at $80,600. The Trailmaster version, priced at $88,500 before, now starts at $80,600.

The decline in registrations of Ineos models may have been a factor in the company's decision to ease prices. S&P Global Mobility reports that registrations of new Ineos models in the US were down 14 percent in the first half to 2,468, and fell by an even more significant 23 percent to 331 in June.

It's worth noting that both the Ineos Grenadier and Quartermaster currently face 27.5 percent tariffs, but this will be reduced to 15 percent due to a new trade deal between the US and European Union. The Quartermaster is also subject to an additional 25 percent 'chicken tax' as it is a foreign-made pickup.

Despite the price reductions, the impact on Ineos' sales is uncertain, as the company does not release sales figures. However, US deliveries of Ineos vehicles increased by 2 percent through the first half of 2025 compared to the year prior, which may be more attributable to growing brand visibility than to pricing strategy.

The price changes come as demand shows signs of cooling. Whether this trend will continue remains to be seen, but one thing is clear - Ineos is taking steps to make its vehicles more affordable for US consumers.
