Traffic Enforcement in Bad Salzdetfurth and Bockenem Leads to Multiple Offense Proceedings
In a series of traffic checks conducted by the Bad Salzdetfurth police on August 28, 2025, several offenses were uncovered, leading to both criminal and administrative proceedings.
In Bad Salzdetfurth, a woman was found driving despite having an existing driving ban. The woman, who had previously surrendered her driver's license due to the ban, was stopped in Lärchenstraße at around 23:00. The police have initiated a criminal proceeding against her.
Meanwhile, in Hachumer Straße, a truck with defective lighting equipment was stopped. The driver, a 35-year-old individual wanted by the Essen public prosecutor's office for previous traffic offenses, was arrested. However, his name remains undisclosed to the public. The current offenses were punished on the spot.
Elsewhere in Bockenem, a 21-year-old truck driver was caught using a "speed camera warning app" on his mobile phone. The location of the stop was "Am Alten Friedhof", and the offence was committed at 22:39 on the same day.
In a separate incident, an 18-year-old individual was found to have falsely stated that their electric scooter was registered for road traffic. However, the scooter did not comply with the relevant regulations for small electric vehicles and should not have been used in public traffic. A criminal proceeding was initiated against the owner of the electric scooter for indirect false certification.
