The city of Bottrop has welcomed 22 new trainees, marking the beginning of their careers in public service. On September 1st, the town hall was filled with excitement as Mayor Bernd Tischler, training director Asmir Sekic, representatives of the works council, and the youth and trainees' committee welcomed the new faces.

Among the new trainees are 17 city inspector cadets who are embarking on a Bachelor of Laws - Municipal Administration Service. These young professionals will ensure qualified young talent for the city, providing solid career prospects for themselves and contributing to the city's administration.

One of the city inspector cadets, Lea Ballhorn, is joined by Dana Jendroska, Marie Klein, Almina Cavus, Almina Begic, Nina Kröcher, Ines Lamotke, Fabienne Vogel, Tuana Özdede, Jessica Watanabe, Elias Scholz, Lukas Lindermann, Mohammed Aiman Faraj, Achmed Salameh, Leonidas Mavreas, Yvonne Kampa, and Tara-Tanita Kischel.

In addition to the city inspector cadets, the Bottrop fire department welcomed three new trainees: Jan-Luca Ptak, Fabian Hoffmann, and Aaron Grimm. These young individuals are starting their training to become Emergency Medical Technicians, an essential role in the city's emergency services.

Mayor Tischler expressed his enthusiasm for the new trainees, stating that the city thrives on the commitment of its employees. He encouraged the newcomers to bring their ideas and creativity into the administration, wishing them the best for the start of their careers.

The city of Bottrop offers attractive framework conditions for training, including flexible working hours, job security, and a variety of training professions. One of the new trainees, Niko Heidemann, is beginning his dual studies in Social Work, while Mikail Kodamann is starting his dual studies for a Bachelor of Arts - Administrative Informatics.

Interested individuals still have the opportunity to apply for positions in the Bottrop city administration. The application deadline for joining the city's training program in the coming year is October 10, 2025. However, details about individual applicants have not been disclosed.

After the official swearing-in of the city inspector cadets, Mayor Tischler encouraged the young talent, emphasising the importance of their roles in the city's administration. The city of Bottrop looks forward to the contributions these new trainees will make in the coming years.
