Initiative " Fresh Artists for 2025 - Kamchatka's Call " welcomes creative minds to join the artistic adventure in Kamchatka
The "New Names - 2025" project, initiated in 2016, is set to reveal the talent of young artists and masters from Kamchatka. The results of the selection process will be unveiled on April 3 on the official museum website www.kamartmuseum.ru.
Participants can submit a maximum of seven works per person in the categories of paintings, graphics, and works in decorative and folk art genres. This opportunity is not limited to professional artists; amateur artists and decorative and folk art masters aged 16 and above are also encouraged to participate.
The "New Names" project has been instrumental in providing a creative debut for many artists in the past. The exhibition will feature works selected by a panel of experts and approved by an organising committee, which includes museum director Tatiana Bikoves, Merited Artist of Russia Suren Kazaryan, artists Vladimir Voroshilov, Ivan Tsarkov, Andrei Sitnikov, and art historian Antonina Cherkashina.
The "New Names - 2025" project aims to provide a platform for regional residents to familiarise themselves with the creativity of local artists. Works submitted must have been created after 2016 and not previously exhibited at the Kamchatka Regional Art Museum. Applications for the project are accepted until March 30.
Previous exhibitions of the "New Names" project have helped launch many talents, marking the first step towards recognition for many artists. The exhibition serves as a testament to the region's rich artistic heritage and the promise of a bright future for its emerging artists.
