The Bochum Police in Germany are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a person of interest involved in a fraud incident that occurred on March 10, 2023, around 2 p.m., in the area of the shopping center at Dorstener Straße 400, Bochum-Hofstede.
The suspect, who is a man and claimed to be from the UK, allegedly lost his bank card and approached a 36-year-old man from Bochum, asking for help. He claimed he needed cash. The man complied, helping the suspect withdraw money from his account at the bank branch.
However, the suspect did not transfer the money he received and is now considered a person of interest in an ongoing investigation by the Criminal Investigation Unit KK 15 in Bochum.
