Breaking News: Stabbing Attack at Essen Vocational College

A shocking incident unfolded at a vocational college in Essen this morning, as a teacher was injured in a stabbing attack. According to initial findings, no other persons were attacked.

The suspect, believed to be a student at the school, was apprehended near the main train station in Essen. Reports suggest that the student, a 17-year-old male student from Kosovo, fled the scene and was later arrested by police after pulling a knife. The police shot and severely wounded him during the arrest.

The teacher, who was taken to a hospital by the police, is not in critical condition. The school did not comment on the incident, while the suspect is currently receiving medical treatment and no new information about his medical condition has been provided.

The police were on site with strong forces in the morning and sealed off the building. A special forces unit was also deployed near the main train station in Essen. The area around the station was cordoned off.

The school offers educational programs in the fields of nutrition and household management, as well as social and health care. It is a municipal vocational college with around 1,780 female and male students.
