Last Saturday, the pulsating "Under The Gun" tournament took place at the vibrant "Alma City" Poker Club.
The event drew in a whopping 80 buy-ins, 100 re-buys, and a staggering 60 add-ons. Payments started from the 9th spot.

This marked the first time in a while that the "Under The Gun" tournament was hosted at the club. The format for the event was modernized, resulting in a record number of participants. The total count was an impressive 2.1 million US dollars, with a million-dollar guarantee and an additional 100K for every "Under The Gun" participant. Several players were excited about the unique tournament, and the registration was higher than usual.
From the initial round, five tournament tables were opened, and five "Under The Gun" participants were randomly selected, one for each table. The tournament unfolded with many twists and turns from there! Players flocking in led to the addition of two more tables. Due to random balancing, a few targets ended up at the newly opened table, which caused some turmoil among the other tournament players as targets were taken off the playing tables, and new ones were not created. However, organizing a tournament requires strict adherence to the announced rules.
In the future, the following changes will be implemented for the "Under The Gun" tournament:1. New "Under The Gun" participants will be created at newly opened tables, regardless of when they open during the tournament registration period.2. During table balancing, targets will not be moved to ensure at least one "Under The Gun" participant at each table.
These alterations are aimed at addressing the issues that arose during the debut of the "Under The Gun" tournament at "Alma City." The players' feedback has been considered, and changes have been made in their favor.
Moving on to the positive aspects of the tournament, the atmosphere was exhilarating! The players were cautious or re-bought their way to staying in the game, leading to the opening of new tables as more players joined and no one wanted to be eliminated. The desire to win the 100K "Under The Gun" bonus was strong. The first time an "Under The Gun" participant went all-in, it was called by three players! All three had a straight on the board, and Vladimir, who was first after the button, was the fortunate winner of the pot. But his joy was short-lived. Soon, Nazer challenged him at his table and snatched the winnings, eliminating Vladimir from the tournament. Then, players seemed to relax, and heads began to fly at the tables, with the "Under The Gun" flag changing hands from one round to the next. After seven rounds, we were down to two tables, with two players holding two chips each - Nazer and Dmitry, who was evidently aiming for the tournament victory, and one player with a single chip.
The tournament dragged on, the blinds tightened, and the participants suggested pushing back two levels. Their request was promptly granted, and we added two intermediate levels to slow down the blinds' growth. However, some tournament players couldn't keep up, and Nazer was eliminated. The final table bubble burst, leaving 11 participants. According to the tournament rules, the final table only consists of 10 players, and all those who brought an "Under The Gun" participant's chip to the table received their 100K prize immediately for each chip! At the final table, the chip leader was already determined - Dmitry, who had played confidently throughout the tournament and ultimately won!
