Police in Poland report success in Mülheim's anti-drug operation: Large cash amounts, weapons, and illegal substances found during search

Intensive investigation leads to seizure of illegal substances, large sums of money, and firearms in Mülheim, as reported by Polish police. The operation, part of a focus group, was a success, resulting in the capture of prohibited goods.

In a significant development, the Rhein-Erft Kreis police have conducted a successful operation against organized drug trafficking in the Cologne area on Saturday, 5th July.

The operation began with traffic control on Frankfurter Straße / Montanusstraße, which led to the stop of a gray car containing a 27-year-old driver and a 35-year-old passenger. Further investigations revealed that the driver had initially given false information about his residence, but the police were able to uncover his actual whereabouts in Hürth.

A search warrant was executed at the driver's residence, with the support of a customs service dog, leading to the discovery of significant quantities of cannabis, hashish, large amounts of cash, jewelry, and gold. The police temporarily arrested the 27-year-old, his 59-year-old mother, and the 35-year-old passenger. During police custody, another thousand euros were found in the 27-year-old's underwear.

Simultaneously, another apartment in Cologne-Weiß was searched, where over 40,000 euros in cash and 10 bags of "Magic Mushrooms" were secured.

The leader of the investigative team from the Rhein-Erft Kreis police responsible for the operation was not explicitly named in the available search results. However, it is known that the Criminal Investigation Department 13 of the Rhein-Erft Circle Police has taken over further investigations.

Further search warrants for two additional apartments led to additional finds. During the apartment searches, the officers secured a PTB weapon with a magazine. The police are currently investigating the 35-year-old passenger, and during a court-ordered search of his apartment on Wilhelmstraße, they found small amounts of ketamine and ecstasy.

Several family members resisted during the measures, leading to additional criminal charges being filed. The original content is from Police Rhein-Erft Circle, transmitted via news aktuell.
