The second Maritime Industry Sustainability 2025 Conference took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with a focus on shaping the future of the maritime sector through digitization, cybersecurity, and the role of human capital.

The event, which featured the participation of specialized companies and experts in the field, aimed to improve maritime safety and efficiency by adopting advanced technical and financial solutions. Dr. Leila Al-Mansouri, a specialist from the maritime sector, was among the conference attendees, responding to an invitation from Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Transport.

The Kuwait Ports Authority was also present at the conference, led by Engineer Fahad Al-Bous. Hussein Al-Subaie from the Handling, Security, and Safety Department was part of the Ports Authority delegation.

The conference discussions revolved around the present and future importance of the maritime industry, with a particular emphasis on strengthening sustainability and achieving greater efficiency. The event did not introduce any new topics or aspects beyond those already mentioned.

Engineer Fahad Al-Bous spoke to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) about the conference, but no updates were provided on his speech or the report by Al Rai daily.
