International Landscape Design Contest - Daguan Pavilion Trophy in the Year 2019

The International Water Garden Landscape Competition is set to take place, with the hosting organization being "Natur im Garten," a collaboration between the State of Lower Austria, the European Garden Association - Natur im Garten International, Natur im Garten GmbH, and Natur im Garten Service GmbH.

This competition, scheduled to take place in Kunming, China, welcomes both student and professional groups to participate. The site survey will be conducted on November 7th and 8th, 2019.

The competition's theme is "Health and Water Landscape," encouraging designs that focus on ecological civilization, the construction of a healthy living space in Kunming, and the history and culture of Lake Dian Basin, particularly the Daguan Pavilion.

The general floor plan must be drawn to a 1:2000 scale, including node detail maps to a 1:500 scale, all marked in metric units. The image file for submission should be in JPG format, A0 size (vertical composition), 300 pixels per inch resolution, and have a sheet number of two to four. No personal or team information should be presented in the JPG image file; violation of this rule will result in disqualification.

For the student group, there are 2 gold awards worth 30,000 yuan each, 4 silver awards worth 10,000 yuan each, 6 Bronze awards worth 50,000 yuan each, and 15 excellent awards. The professional group, on the other hand, has 1 gold award worth 30,000 yuan, 2 silver awards worth 10,000 yuan each, 3 Bronze awards worth 50,000 yuan each, and 5 excellent awards.

Each entrant or team in the professional group can only submit one design, while each student or team can only submit one design as well. The registration deadline is 24:00 on December 10th, 2019, and the deadline for submission of works is 24:00 on December 19th, 2019.

All competition-related information is free to access, and participants are free to contact AIMIR for their 3D rendering needs.

Professional group participants can be design institutions, design institutes, research institutes, freelance designers, artists, teachers, etc., engaged in landscape architecture, urban and rural planning, architecture, environmental art, or related fields. Student group participants must be undergraduates, masters, or doctoral candidates majoring in landscape architecture, gardening, urban and rural planning, architecture, environmental design, or related fields.

Works of the competition should be sent to the email address [email protected] in a compressed package attachment. The designs should be presented in Chinese or English, with the Chinese title being a must.
