In the realm of electric mobility, key players gathered at various events to discuss the deployment of charging infrastructure, overcome challenges, and celebrate achievements.

At the Global Mobility Call, organised by Félix Pérez-Fajardo, over 10,000 professional visitors and another 15,000 online participants joined forces to bring together all stakeholders from the mobility ecosystem. The event, themed around electric mobility, aimed to address the challenges and triumphs of the sector.

Mobility Portal Group hosted the "Summit of Leaders in Electric Mobility in the USA, Spain, and Europe," where industry experts and enthusiasts engaged in two panels, two exclusive interviews, and insightful discussions. The summit provided a platform for dialogue and collaboration in the electric mobility sector.

While the focus remained on electric mobility, another significant gathering took place at Bühler's headquarters in Uzwil, Switzerland. Leading companies and groups from the food, feed, sustainable mobility, and materials sectors convened for a summit, bringing together over 1,200 business leaders. Despite the event not being held in the USA, Spain, or Europe, it served as an essential forum for the electric mobility discussion.

In the United States, Erika Myers, Executive Director of CharIN North America, shared that more medium-duty vehicles are becoming available, signifying a promising future for the electric mobility landscape in the country.

Across the Atlantic, Dieter Debels, Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at RetailSonar, highlighted the challenge of activating local charging point operators in countries like Spain and Portugal. His remarks underscored the need for continued efforts and collaboration to ensure a robust charging infrastructure in these regions.

Meanwhile, in Chile, Andrés Barentin's charging management system is operational, with plans for expansion into Spain, Mexico, and the United States. Similarly, Dhemax's charging management system is making progress in Valparaíso, Chile, and is targeting projects in Mexico and the US.

Sebastian Etchevest, Chief Executive Officer at EV Jungle, announced their expansion into Latin America, Canada, Mexico, and the US, with Southern Europe as their next goal. This growth strategy reflects the increasing global interest in electric mobility solutions.

Semtech prioritises mission-critical applications and top-level security in cellular connectivity for reliable infrastructure, ensuring that electric vehicles can connect securely and dependably to charging stations and other essential services.

In Spain, Arturo Pérez de Lucía González aims to alleviate fears about electric mobility, encouraging the public to embrace this sustainable transportation revolution. His efforts underscore the importance of addressing public perceptions to foster widespread adoption of electric vehicles.

In the United Kingdom, Scott Rose identified consumer confidence as the main challenge in promoting electric mobility. As the electric mobility sector continues to grow and evolve, addressing concerns and building trust among consumers will be crucial to its success.
