Intoxicated teen passenger leads to automobile collision,according to Polish authorities report
In a series of events that unfolded on the night of August 29, 2025, a 15-year-old was involved in a traffic accident near King's Lutter on the Federal Highway 1.
According to a report from the Wolfsburg Police, concerned witnesses spotted the teenager in Süpplingen, appearing disoriented. A subsequent check by the police revealed that the 15-year-old was driving a Touran, which was later found in a ditch on the B1 at the Lelm exit.
The accident occurred at a slight left curve at the Lelm exit. The driver of the Touran, whose key and license plates were found with the 15-year-old, was a 21-year-old man, who was not present at the scene.
Upon being apprehended, the 15-year-old was found to have alcohol on his breath. An Alcotest conducted at the police station showed a reading of 0.9 percent. A blood sample, ordered by the responsible public prosecutor, was taken at the hospital in Helmstedt.
Criminal charges were filed against the 15-year-old for driving without a license, driving under the influence, and leaving the scene of an accident. The car was recovered from the ditch by a tow truck and handed over to the owner.
The 15-year-old admitted to being involved in a traffic accident but could not remember the location. He drove the Touran from King's Lutter towards Süpplingen before driving off the road to the left at the Lelm exit. The Touran belonged to a relative of the 15-year-old.
