In the heart of Augsburg, Germany, on September 4, 2024, an unusual event unfolded. At around midday, an attempted burglary occurred at an apartment on Bergiusstraße in Goeggingen.

The Augsburg Criminal Police are currently investigating the incident, which took place at the Police Headquarters Swabia North. The perpetrator managed to gain unauthorized access to the apartment, but upon seeing the resident, they quickly fled the scene.

Despite a thorough investigation, the identity of the perpetrator and any stolen or damaged goods related to the burglary attempt remain unknown. The resident of the apartment, however, reported hearing noises at their door before the incident. Fortunately, no property or stolen goods were damaged during the attempt.
