Samsung Transforms Los Angeles Chargers' New Training Facility, The Bolt
Samsung has partnered with the Los Angeles Chargers to outfit their new headquarters and practice facility, The Bolt, with over 250 Samsung LED displays. The collaboration with the company Leyard sees the integration of innovative technologies from SoFi Stadium into the practice facilities, setting a new standard of excellence in professional football training.
The Bolt, designed by Gensler Sports design firm, is a 150,000-square-foot facility located on 14 acres of land in El Segundo, CA, and includes three natural grass practice fields. The ground floor encompasses an expansive locker room, equipment room, training space, weight room, hydrotherapy room, team lounge, and direct access to the practice fields.
Fans attending training camp at The Bolt will notice the Samsung XRB outdoor LED ribbon displays on the east facade of the facility facing the outdoor fields. Inside, the main reception area features the Samsung ISC Indoor LED. Adjacent to the main entrance, the Chargers' Media Center will showcase Samsung's Indoor LED Signage and use an LCD Video Wall as a dynamic backdrop during press conferences.
The displays will range in size from 43 to 85 inches and will be used for informational nutrition, strength and performance displays, still photos, and video custom-tailored for each space. The Terrace QLED 4K screen, with advanced glare resistance and the ability to automatically optimize screen brightness, will ensure players can watch their favorite content in any weather condition, whether in the locker room, training space, weight room, hydrotherapy room, team lounge, or outdoor practice fields.
The second floor houses coaching and scouting offices, a lounge, and individual meeting rooms for players. An outdoor courtyard on this floor features a lap pool, grill, and patio area lined with Samsung's outdoor TV, The Terrace, available in screen sizes ranging from 55 to 85 inches. The top floor houses executive offices, conference rooms, and meeting areas outfitted with Samsung LCD signage, fostering team collaboration.
The Chargers LUX Lounge, perched atop the facility, offers a sprawling exterior deck overlooking the fields and captivating views of downtown Los Angeles. The facility, which will open this summer, is designed to support player training, team branding, and media functions.
With Samsung's displays integrated throughout The Bolt, the Los Angeles Chargers aim to create an unparalleled training and branding experience, mirroring the innovation seen at SoFi Stadium.
