The Helios Dr. Horst Schmidt Kliniken (HSK) in Wiesbaden is set to provide better living accommodations for its employees with the construction of 168 staff apartments. The project, which is a significant contribution to strengthening Wiesbaden as a health city, is being undertaken by the general contractor B&O.

The institution behind the construction remains unnamed in the available information, but the apartments are designed exclusively for employees of the nearby HSK. By autumn 2027, ten buildings with a total living area of around 12,500 square meters will be constructed, housing apartments ranging from one-room to six-room, suitable for shared living.

The project combines sustainability with modern architecture using wood-hybrid construction, with exterior and interior walls made of cross-laminated timber. Roofs will be greened and equipped with photovoltaic systems, and heating will be provided via district heating.

All apartments will feature balconies, underfloor heating, and mechanical ventilation. Green outdoor spaces, a neighborhood square, and a children's playground will also be created, enhancing the overall living experience for HSK employees.

The press release about the HSK staff apartments was issued by the Press Office of the State Capital Wiesbaden. Angela Tausendpfund, CEO of EGW, granted a sub-lease right to GWW for the realization of the project on the HSK site.

The construction of HSK staff apartments is seen as a sign of urgently needed appreciation for nursing, medical-technical professions, and functional services. HSK's Managing Director, Rungfa Saligmann, emphasized the central importance of the project for the clinic and healthcare provision.

Milena Löbcke, Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Helios HSK and Health Department Head, considers the construction of new staff apartments essential for securing skilled professionals. GWW is investing approximately 50 million euros in the construction of these apartments.

Citizens can contact the responsible department or office with any questions about the HSK staff apartments. The construction of these apartments is an important step in enhancing the attractiveness of HSK as an employer.
