The automotive industry is abuzz with anticipation for the upcoming Neta EP32, a mid-size electric crossover set to launch in 2024. This vehicle, based on the Shanghai architecture, shares its platform with the Neta S sedan and Neta GT two-door roadster.
The Neta EP32 boasts an aggressive design, featuring large oval headlights, a sloping bonnet line, and an assertive front bumper with a trapeze-shaped air intake. The vehicle's wheelbase measures approximately 2.98 meters, and it has a width of 1.98 meters. The crossover sits on 225/60 R18 wheels with five-spoke rims.
One of the standout features of the Neta EP32 is its interior, which exudes a high-end feel. The cabin is equipped with a thin instrument panel, a sporty steering wheel with a flat bottom, and a large twin screen for the main monitor and an independent screen for the front passenger. The center tunnel houses a hidden compartment, two cup holders, and a wireless phone charging pad.
Under the hood, the Neta EP32 is powered by a single electric motor producing 231 hp, drawing its power from a 72.08 kWh battery supplied by FinDreams, a subsidiary of BYD. FinDreams is a conglomerate consisting of four automotive supplier companies: FinDreams Battery, FinDreams Powertrain, FinDreams Technology, and FinDreams Precision. These companies were spun off from BYD in March 2020 to expand component sales to other automotive companies.
The Neta EP32's impressive range of 500 km on a single charge is made possible by the use of FinDream's LFP battery. It's worth noting that the vehicle might also have trims with bigger batteries and more powerful e-motors in the future.
The gear selector of the Neta EP32 is located behind the steering wheel. As for the price, it's expected to fall within the range of 200,000 - 250,000 yuan (27,640 - 34,550 USD).
Road tests of the Neta EP32 have already been spotted in China, featuring retractable door handles, a slanted D-pillar, and a sporty roof spoiler. While the exact launch date has yet to be announced, the automotive world eagerly awaits the arrival of this promising electric crossover.
Neta has other battery suppliers, including Guangxi Ningfu, SVOLT, and CATL, but the Neta EP32 will be primarily powered by FinDreams' technology. The Neta EP32 is also rumoured to have an EREV version in the future, similar to the Neta S sedan. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new vehicle.
