In the world of automotive manufacturing, Chinese automaker Geely has been making headlines recently.

Firstly, it's worth noting that Ford, not Geely's founder Li Shufu personally, sold Volvo to Geely. The deal was completed, but there's no specific information linking the signing or completion of this takeover to the second quarter of 2023.

Moving on, Geely has unveiled official images of its latest creation, the 4.8-meter Starshine 6 PHEV sedan. This isn't the only new model on the horizon for Geely. In collaboration with Mercedes, they are set to launch a new EV city car in China by the end of 2026.

Meanwhile, Geely's sister brand, Zeekr, has revealed the Zeekr 9X, an SUV boasting the world's largest PHEV battery. With a price tag of approximately 80,000 USD and a weight of 3 tons, the Zeekr 9X is poised to make a significant impact in the market.

As for Ford, it seems they are close to finalizing a deal with Geely for Volvo. Reports suggest that the sales and purchase agreement could be signed by the end of March, with the transaction expected to be completed in the second quarter.

Stay tuned for more updates as these developments unfold in the automotive industry.
