Investigation results and testimony proceedings in the Hamburg-Hohenfelde homicide inquiry
On August 31, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded in a shisha bar located in Hamburg-Hohenfelde. A 33-year-old man was fatally injured, and the police are now seeking the public's help in gathering more information about the incident.
According to the latest reports, the man was found lifeless in the shisha bar and later died in the ambulance. Indications suggest that he was fatally injured by a gunshot from an unknown person. The circumstances of the death were initially unclear, but the homicide department (LKA 41) and the department for capital crimes of the public prosecutor's office are now handling the investigation.
The incident took place at 04:38 on Lübeck Street. The identity of the person who committed the crime is not publicly known; the police are still investigating and have described a suspect fleeing the scene but have not named him. The search for a suspect in the incident has not yielded results so far.
Rescue workers from the fire department provided first aid to the injured man, and the crisis intervention team (CIT) of the German Red Cross is providing psychosocial acute care to the relatives.
