Investigation Underway: Reversing Direction Incident Seeks Witnesses and Potential Additional Affected Parties

In the evening of January 15, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on Ohnholdstraße in Stuttgart-Birkach. Emergency services attended to a 60-year-old man who was driving a BMW and took him to a hospital.

According to witnesses, the man was driving in a zigzag pattern before the accident. Due to suspicion of alcohol influence, the man had to provide a blood sample and his driver's license was confiscated.

The incident happened around 19:30, but further investigations revealed that the 60-year-old man allegedly drove over a traffic island in Birkheckenstraße at around 17:10, damaging a traffic sign. The name of the man has not been publicly disclosed.

The estimated damage from the accident is around 25,000 euros. Witnesses and any other potential victims are asked to contact the traffic police at +4971189904100.
