In the Lower Malstatt area of Saarbrücken, a house fire broke out on March 5, 2025. The incident occurred around 11:10 AM, as reported by neighbours who described it as explosions and a fire on the first floor of a single-family home.

Upon arrival, the Police Station Saarbrücken-Burbach confirmed a full-blown fire on the first floor. The surrounding streets were closed for approximately two hours during the operation to ensure access for the fire brigade of Saarbrücken and emergency services.

Fortunately, at the time of the fire, the 8-member family residing in the house was not present, avoiding personal injuries. However, the exact extent of property damage from the house fire is not yet known, and the house is currently uninhabitable due to the fire.
