In exciting news for fans of German television, it has been confirmed that the popular ZDF sitcom "Spaeti" will be returning for new seasons on ZDFneo. The series, which first aired in spring 2025, follows the life of Fred, played by Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht, who runs a kiosk called a "Spaeti" in the city.
Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht, who gained fame alongside his brother Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht in the 2003 film "Die Wilden Kerle," will be reprising his role in the upcoming seasons. However, it's important to clarify that Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht is not currently appearing in the "Spaeti" series.
Recently, Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht was involved in a severe fraud case in Austria. Despite this, the court did not convict him, and the case was settled with a fine of 18,000 euros in August.
In addition to the return of "Spaeti," the Ochsenknecht family will also be the focus of a new reality show titled "Diese Ochsenknechts." This show will air on Sky and Wow from September 16, and on Sky One every Tuesday at 8:15 PM. The show will follow the family's life, including Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht's arrest and extradition to Austria.
As for the new seasons of "Spaeti," while Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht has announced on Instagram that there will be more seasons, the release date, broadcasting channel, and content have not been disclosed as of now. The second and third seasons do not have publicly announced broadcast dates, and only the initial premiere of the series in February 2025 on ZDFneo is confirmed.
The "Spaeti" series is produced by Bildundtonfabrik and features city life, peculiar guests, and a landlady who wants to eliminate the "Spaeti." The first season of the series aired on ZDFneo and the ZDF streaming portal (Mediathek).
In other news, Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht will be appearing on the ProSieben series "Schlag den Star" today, Saturday, alongside his mother Natascha.
