Circular Police Authority Borken Cracks Down on Speeding and Reckless Driving
The Circular Police Authority Borken is taking action against excessive speed and reckless driving next week, as reported by news aktuell. The traffic service team will continue their measurements to ensure road safety.
During the latest round of speed checks, the authorities issued 2 driving bans, 239 administrative offense proceedings, and 677 warning fines. The team recorded the speed of 10,787 vehicles at 18 locations in the circular Borken.
In some instances, the speeding violations were particularly severe. On the B 473 in Bocholt, a car was caught speeding at 152 km/h, exceeding the maximum allowed speed of 100 km/h. Inside the built-up area in Gronau-Epe, a vehicle was caught speeding at 63 km/h, which is more than double the maximum allowed speed of 30 km/h on the Vennstraße. There were also serious speeding violations at the North circle - outside the built-up area on the B 54 in Gronau, where a vehicle was clocked at 137 km/h, which is 37 km/h over the maximum allowed speed of 100 km/h.
