Investigators questioning four MACC officers in relation to the disappearance of Pamela Ling

In the ongoing investigation into the alleged kidnapping of Ling, a 42-year-old woman, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the local police have been working diligently to uncover the truth.

Ling disappeared on April 9 while on her way to MACC's headquarters to give a statement related to an ongoing investigation. Since then, the authorities have been working tirelessly to find her.

According to the latest updates, the investigation into the suspected abduction case of Ling is being led by the Malaysian police in Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah. The case is being investigated under Section 365 of the Penal Code, which pertains to abduction or wrongful confinement.

The investigation papers are being finalized before being submitted to the Attorney-General's Chambers. To date, MACC has recorded statements from 48 witnesses in the investigation involving Ling. Four MACC officers who were directly involved in investigating Ling have given statements as well.

CCTV footage has also been a valuable source of information in the case. Two of the suspects were seen in the footage wearing police vests. One of the vehicles seen in the footage, believed to have been used in Ling's alleged kidnapping, was traced to Bukit Kayu Hitam, a town in Kedah near the Thai border. In June, this same vehicle was spotted near the Thai border.

It has been alleged that approximately eight suspects were involved in the kidnapping. Five vehicles are believed to have been involved in the incident, three of which had used cloned number plates.

Previously, MACC chief Azam Baki stated that Ling was a witness in a money laundering investigation. However, Ling's family was informed by police that they had found nothing when asked about the investigation into her disappearance.

As the investigation continues, the authorities are hopeful that they will soon find answers and bring those responsible to justice. The public is reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
