In the past few days, several facilities in the cities of Castrop-Rauxel, Dorsten, and Herten have been targeted by unknown perpetrators. The police are currently investigating these incidents and are asking for public assistance in identifying the suspects.

On Straße In der Wanne, a bathroom window was forced open, an office door was broken down, a safe was stolen, and the perpetrators fled through a kitchen window. In a multi-family house on Rosenstraße in Recklinghausen, the house and apartment doors were forced open, but the nature of the stolen goods is not specified.

Two kindergartens in Recklinghausen, on Karolinenstraße and Straße In der Wanne, were also broken into over the weekend. On Karolinenstraße, a metal door was forced open, and staff lockers were searched, but no information on stolen goods is available yet. At the kindergarten on Straße In der Wanne, it is unclear how the perpetrators gained entry.

In Dorsten, a church on Pestalozzistraße was broken into between Thursday evening and Friday afternoon. Several rooms were searched, and a safe was stolen from a meeting room. It is still unclear whether anything else was taken.

Between Saturday evening and Monday morning, a school on Ebbelicher Weg in Herten was broken into, but the method of entry and the nature of the stolen goods are not specified. However, it is known that at least jewelry was stolen during the break-in.
