Investment firm Neuberger Berman's Global Private Equity Access Fund exceeds $1 billion in assets under management due to growing retail interest.
Neuberger Boosts Private Equity Access for Wide Range of Investors
Neuberger Berman, a leading provider of flexible private equity access, has been making strides in the industry this year. The asset management firm has access to nearly 25 new investments across its evergreen and ELTIF strategies so far in 2025.
One of Neuberger's key initiatives is the NB Private Equity Open Access Fund, which operates under the EU's ELTIF 2.0 framework. This fund has already deployed capital into 16 transactions, including Nord Anglia and Mariner Wealth Advisors. Neuberger raised €110m at the first close of this fund.
The NB Private Equity Open Access Fund offers a minimum investment of €10,000, making it accessible for a broad range of investors. This fund is part of Neuberger's broader private markets platform, which completed $17.5bn of commitments in 2024.
Another significant development for Neuberger is the expansion of its partnership with German digital wealth manager LIQID. Since May 2024, Neuberger has raised €200m through ELTIF products designed for high-net-worth individuals. This partnership is separate from Neuberger's broader $140bn private markets platform.
The NB Global Private Equity Access Fund, managed by Neuberger, has also seen success. This fund offers investors access to co-investments and secondaries across a globally diversified portfolio and has surpassed $1bn in assets under management.
José Luis González Pastor, Managing Director of Private Equity Co-Investments at Neuberger Berman, commented on the growing demand for Neuberger's private equity access. He stated that demand from both institutions and private wealth clients is accelerating.
It's worth noting that, as of 2025, no publicly known institution or organization has explicitly disclosed investing €200 million or more with ELTIF products for digital wealth management strategies at LIQID in 2024. Such details are typically found in specialist media, on the providers' websites, or in press releases. Direct inquiries to LIQID or the relevant regulatory bodies could provide further details, assuming they are not marked as confidential.
In conclusion, Neuberger Berman continues to expand its private equity offerings, with the NB Private Equity Open Access Fund and its partnership with LIQID being notable examples. The firm's success underscores the growing demand for flexible private equity access among a broad range of investors.
