Investment of $20 Million poured into data management specialist for improved autonomous storage solutions
Datafy, a startup specializing in autonomous storage optimization, has successfully secured $20 million in new funding. This round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners and supported by existing investor Insight Partners, with additional backing from GV, Crane Venture Partners, and Amplify Partners.
The funds are intended to accelerate Datafy's growth in the U.S. market. The company, founded by Zivan Ori (CEO), Ziv Serlin (COO), and Yoav Ilovich, has developed a solution that addresses the urgent demand for enhanced cloud storage efficiency due to rising costs.
Datafy's solution includes a zero-downtime auto-scaling engine and a real-time storage usage sensor. This technology enables cloud storage to be scaled automatically as needed, providing immediate performance improvements. The solution is designed for the most demanding and sophisticated users of cloud storage.
One such user is Lior Gernenstein, CTO of Via, a transportation company. Via uses Datafy's solution to reduce EBS costs by 40% and improve performance. Gernenstein praises Datafy's solution for its simplicity and reliability.
Ophir Zahavi, Senior Manager of Cloud Engineering at H2O.ai, also uses Datafy's solution. He appreciates the solution's ability to operate autonomously, eliminating the need for users to continually right-size their storage requirements.
Datafy's partner program is gaining traction, with several AWS Premier Partners joining its ecosystem. This expansion is expected to further bolster the startup's capabilities and reach.
Adam Fisher of Bessemer Venture Partners highlights Datafy's ability to automatically scale storage without downtime or wasted spend. He believes that Datafy's deep technology approach to addressing cloud storage efficiency will be instrumental in helping businesses navigate the challenges posed by rising costs.
With the new funding, Datafy aims to expand its U.S. presence and introduce cutting-edge storage optimization solutions. The solution also provides clear visibility into utilization, aiding in making smarter infrastructure decisions.
Zivan Ori, serving as the CEO of Datafy, and Ziv Serlin, who previously co-founded E8 Storage, which was acquired by AWS in 2019, are confident that this funding round will propel Datafy towards its goal of revolutionizing cloud storage efficiency.
