Jared Bleznick: High-Stakes Poker Player and Emerging Commentator

In the world of high-stakes poker, Jared Bleznick, known as 'Theblez' online, continues to make waves. Recently, he has been participating in intense matchups on CoinPoker, competing against some of the best players globally in multi-hundred-thousand-dollar pots.

During a recent session, Bleznick showcased his prowess, winning several big pots, including one over $500k. His stack was back over $1 million after a preflop all-in extended his lead. However, his opponent, Giselle54, fought back and took the lead during the session.

Bleznick's playing style has been a topic of discussion for years. In 2017, Jared "cumicon" Connors described him as a "complete mystery" with a unique approach to the game. Egor Gerasimchuk expressed a similar opinion about Bleznick in 2025.

Despite the controversy surrounding him a decade ago, Bleznick's poker achievements are undeniable. He boasts a WSOP bracelet and nearly $10 million in live tournament earnings, including defeating top pros like Patrik Antonius in High Stakes Duel.

Aside from his competitive play, Bleznick has ventured into poker commentary. He has been praised for his insight, entertaining banter, and passion for the game, notably at the 2025 WSOP where he opted to commentate rather than play in the $50K Poker Players Championship. His knowledge of mixed games and approachable style have garnered attention and helped promote deeper appreciation for complex poker variants.

Despite his success, Bleznick acknowledges his lack of experience in commentating as his main weakness. He has only commentated on four tournaments, including the Players Championship of the past and this year, the 2-7 Single Draw Championship, and the Main Event.

Bleznick is clear about his motivation for commentating. He knows what the audience wants and has declined offers for payment, emphasizing that he's not doing this for the money. He has received advice from industry professionals, such as Mori, who suggested he enroll in a broadcasting school if he's serious about it.

In addition to his commentary work, Bleznick has switched from PLO to mixed games and moved to PhenomPoker, where he found action at the 8-game $2k/$4k table. He has demonstrated resilience, engaging in marathon deep-stack sessions with million-dollar or more stacks, continuing his reputation as a serious nosebleed stakes player.

As of mid-2025, Jared Bleznick remains highly active and influential in the world of poker, both as a high-stakes player and as a commentator. His multi-faceted engagement with poker has seemed to elevate his status, with fans and peers alike appreciating his engaging personality and deep understanding of the game.
