Invitation to submit proposals for village-level coaching services

The city of Arnsberg has launched a new initiative aimed at ensuring the sustainable and future-proof development of rural areas. Known as the "village coaching processes," this project forms an important building block from the DŌRFERKONZEPT ARNSBERG 2025, a concept initiated in 2017.

The focus of these processes is on a participatory, transparent, and sustainable development strategy. The coaching aims to activate and support local actors to develop viable working structures, spatial concepts, and binding implementation agreements. The villages of Müschede, Niedereimer, and Wennigloh are the focus of this initiative.

The main tasks of the village coaching include developing a binding action plan, moderating a village workshop, accompanying the identification of necessary spaces and carrier structures, promoting citizen participation, and supporting the linking with existing activities. The processes also aim to particularly strengthen the engagement structures on site and coordinate and accompany the diverse activities.

The estimated duration of the village coaching processes is four to six months. An external office is being sought to implement the proposal from the village concept. Information about the process and results can be found on the city's website at www.unsere website/doerfer.

Local activists are offered valuable support to coordinate activities, secure spaces and structures for the future, and promote mutual interaction in village communities. The guiding principle for the village coaching processes is "Strengthening village communities - Living Together."

Mayor Ralf Paul Bittner emphasizes the importance of the village coaching processes for social cohesion and strengthening village communities. The tender provides for the village coaching processes to be carried out simultaneously and comparatively in the three villages to enable successful methods to be transferred to other villages.

The city of Arnsberg has awarded the contract for "village accompaniment processes" in 2025, and the project leader of the village accompaniment processes in the city administration can be contacted as Mr. Michael Mertens. Contact information for the project manager at the city of Arnsberg, Klaus Fröhlich, in the department for sustainable development is available on the website (k.froehlich@unsere website, Tel. 02932 201-1689).

The village coaching processes continue to address societal changes such as individualization, demographic change, and infrastructure problems. The city's website also provides an opportunity for active participation in the development process. The aim of these processes is to shape the future together with the local communities.
