After an impressive 2024 season, undrafted running back Jaylen Warren has been rewarded with a new 2-year extension by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The news was announced by Aura Sports Group, who represent Warren via agents David Canter and Ness Mugrabi.

The extension, reported by Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, will keep Warren with the Steelers until the end of the 2027 NFL season.

During the 2024 season, Warren showcased his talent, rushing for 511 yards with one touchdown and 28 first downs on 120 carries through 15 games. He also contributed significantly in the passing game, accumulating 310 receiving yards on 38 receptions and 47 targets.

Warren's impressive performances earned him the role of the Steelers' chief running back option for the 2025 season. He is expected to handle the majority of the load in the Steelers' rushing attack, with Kenneth Gainwell, a veteran on the depth chart, and Kalen Johnson, the rookie behind Warren, providing support.

The Steelers, who were in the upper half of the league in rushing yards per game in 2024 (130.5), will kick off their 2025 season on the road versus the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

Warren, who attended East High, Snow Community College, Utah State, and Oklahoma State, will turn 27 years old in November. Despite not being drafted, he has proven his worth and is set to play a crucial role in the Steelers' offensive strategy for the coming seasons.

Aura Sports Group congratulated Warren on his new deal, expressing their confidence in his continued success with the Steelers. With this extension, Warren is set to continue his journey in the NFL, aiming to help the Steelers achieve their goals in the upcoming seasons.
