Juventus remains undefeated in Serie A, posting a perfect 100% record for both Benfica and Sporting to note.

In a thrilling weekend of Serie A action, both Juventus and Napoli secured crucial victories to find themselves at the summit of the table.

Juventus started strong against Genoa, dominating the first half but failing to find the back of the net. However, their persistence paid off in the second half when Dusan Vlahovic scored the winning goal at the 73rd minute, assisted by Kostic. The goal came after João Maria and Francisco Conceição, both former FC Porto players, had put in a solid shift for Juventus.

Meanwhile, Napoli suffered in the second round but managed to defeat Cagliari 1-0, thanks to a goal in added time. Frenchman Arthur Atta also scored for Udinese in their impressive 2-1 win against Inter Milan, with Englishman Keinan Davis scoring a penalty for Udinese in the match. Dutchman Denzel Dumfries scored the opening goal for Inter Milan, but it wasn't enough to secure a victory for the Milanese team.

Inter Milan currently finds themselves in sixth place with three points, now level with Lazio, who sit seventh. Lazio secured a convincing 4-0 victory over Verona at home, with Frenchman Mattéo Guendouzi, Mattia Zaccagni, Argentine Valentín Castellanos, and Senegalese substitute Boulaye Dia all finding the net.

Udinese's win moved them up to fifth place with four points. Genoa introduced Portuguese forward Vitinha late in the game but couldn't score, leaving them still searching for their first win of the season.

Looking ahead, both Juventus and Napoli have crucial matches coming up. Juventus will host Sporting on November 4 and face Benfica in Turin on January 21, while Napoli will host the Sporting game on October 1 and visit the Estádio da Luz on December 10.

Torino and Fiorentina played out their second consecutive draw in the 2025/26 season, with Uruguayan goalkeeper Franco Israel impressive for Torino in their goalless draw.

As the season heats up, it's clear that the race for the Serie A title is shaping up to be a closely contested one, with Juventus and Napoli leading the way early on.
