In a thrilling weekend of action in Italy's top flight, several teams showcased their attacking prowess and defensive resilience. Here's a round-up of some of the most notable moments from the Serie A matches.

Arthur Atta scored a stunning goal for Udinese in the 40th minute, his first in Serie A, as his team held on for a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan. The goal came after Keinan Davis had opened the scoring for Udinese with a penalty in the 29th minute, while Denzel Dumfries had equalised for Inter Milan just before half-time. However, Inter struggled to create chances against Udinese's resilient defence, despite having four strikers on the pitch.

Elsewhere, Dusan Vlahovic continued his impressive form for Juventus, scoring his 60th goal for the club in their 2-1 victory over Genoa. Vlahovic stood defiantly celebrating his goal, facing Juventus' delirious support, after being taken off the transfer list earlier in the summer. Filip Kostic provided the assist for Vlahovic's goal, heading home a corner in the 73rd minute.

Fiorentina played out a goalless draw against Torino in another of the day's early kick-offs, while Lazio won 4-0 against Verona.

Cristian Chivu's team trails by three points in the new Serie A season, and the penalty against Inter Milan was the turning point of the match, according to Chivu. Denzel Dumfries scored for Inter Milan in the 18th minute, but was later at fault for a penalty.

Juventus, Roma, and promoted Cremonese all have two wins from their opening two fixtures, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.

Igor Tudor's team escaped being pegged back in the final seconds of the game against Juventus as Patrizio Masini's looping header struck the crossbar. The close call highlighted the tension and drama that has already marked the start of the new Serie A season.
