Interested candidates aiming for eligibility as Assistant Professors in universities and colleges across Karnataka are encouraged to complete their registration within the given timeframe. For those who miss the initial deadline, the registration window provides an extra day, till September 19, 2025, for candidates to pay the application fee.

To begin the registration process, candidates should visit the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. On the homepage, they should go to the Admissions tab and select Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) 2025.

The K-SET 2025 exam is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). The registration process was delayed due to technical issues but has now been resolved.

Eligible candidates typically include those who have completed a Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks in the relevant subject and meet age and other criteria as specified by the official exam notification. The application fee for General category, Cat-IIA, IIB, IIIB, and other state candidates is Rs 1000, while for Cat-I, SC, ST, PwD, and Transgender candidates, it is Rs 700.

The K-SET 2025 consists of two papers: Paper I assessing general teaching and research aptitude, and Paper II based on the candidate's chosen subject. The exam will be held on November 2, 2025.

Applicants for Assistant Professor roles in Karnataka's universities and colleges must have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved categories).
