Kicks off: Lüner concert series' 16th season begins
The 16th season of the Lünen Concert Series, a renowned chamber music event in the region, kicks off on September 20, 2025. This season promises to be an exciting one, with a lineup of internationally acclaimed artists and a diverse repertoire of music.
The artistic direction of the series is handled by Susanne and Dinis Schemann. The concerts will take place at the Hansesaal Lünen, a venue known for its excellent acoustics, stage design, lighting, and high-quality catering.
The first concert of the season will feature Andrey Godik (Oboe), Christoph Eß (Horn), and Evgenia Rubinova (Piano). The programme will include works by R. Schumann, C. Reinecke, and H. von Herzogenberg.
The second concert, on November 22, 2025, will feature the Barbican String Quartet, a multiple award-winning ensemble, having won the International ARD Competition. The music for the evening will be by various composers.
The 3rd concert, titled "America!", will take place on Saturday, 17.01.2026, at 8 pm. This concert marks the debut of internationally acclaimed ensemble amarcord in the Lünen concert series. The music for the night will include works by A. Copland, S. Barber, C. Porter, and others.
The 4th concert, on Saturday, 07.03.2026, at 8 pm, will feature works by L. v. Beethoven and F. Chopin. Notably, Dinis Schemann will be on the piano for this concert.
The 5th concert, on Saturday, 25.04.2026, at 8 pm, will feature chamber orchestra l'arte del mondo under the direction of Werner Ehrhardt. The concert is titled "The most beautiful discoveries" and will include works by W. A. Mozart, J. Mysliveček, and others.
From the second year as a subscriber, the subscription price is reduced to 85 €, offering a savings of 50 € compared to single ticket purchases. Single tickets at the box office cost 30 €, reduced 15 €. A subscription offers up to 40 percent savings compared to individual purchase.
