Kickstarting the Venture: Initiative debuts in Romania, geared towards fostering fledgling female business owners
Impact Hub Bucharest, in partnership with Raiffeisen Bank Romania, has announced the launch of a three-month program called Start Her Journey. This initiative aims to support early-stage women entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 who have registered businesses in Romania and hold decision-making roles in their companies.
The program, which is open for applications from September 2 to 30, will select 20 participants. Over the course of October, these participants will attend three online modules led by business experts. The modules will cover branding and growth opportunities, sales channels, and the use of artificial intelligence to expand their businesses.
In addition to the educational aspects, the program offers networking opportunities with entrepreneurs across Romania. Selected participants will gain visibility within the Impact Hub Bucharest community and have the chance to present their businesses to a wider audience.
Two lucky entrepreneurs will be given this opportunity to showcase their ventures. Furthermore, participants of the Start Her Journey program will have access to financing opportunities through Raiffeisen Bank's Factory program.
According to the organizers, despite having the necessary skills, only one in 15 women in Romania plans to launch a business in the near future. This statistic underscores the need for initiatives like Start Her Journey to encourage and support women entrepreneurs.
One of the main barriers to starting a business for 47% of Romanian women, according to new research, is fear of failure. The Start Her Journey program seeks to address this issue by providing a supportive environment and resources to help participants overcome these challenges.
