Kiel Train Station Theft at Night - Suspect Apprehended on the Spot

In an unexpected turn of events, a male individual was apprehended by the Federal Police Inspectorate Kiel on 14th July 2025, for a theft at a bakery in Kiel train station. The suspect, whose identity remains undisclosed, was found taking items from a refrigerator shortly after midnight.

Upon apprehension, the suspect displayed aggressive behaviour towards officers and was temporarily restrained. Subsequent analysis of video footage confirmed the crime, and the suspect was identified via his health insurance card. He was found with energy drinks, cola, pens, and sweets.

The suspect, citing psychological problems, requested to be transferred to UKSH Kiel around 02:00 hours via an ambulance. The Directorate's operations are based on the Federal Police Act and other laws, and they will now have to answer to charges of theft.
