Vietnam-Korea Business and Investment Association Strengthens Ties with Northwestern Provinces

The Viet Nam-Korea Business and Investment Association (VKBIA) is set to expand its role as a bridge for people-to-people diplomacy, trade, labor, and investment in Vietnam's northwestern provinces. This announcement was made during a meeting between Politburo member and President of the Fatherland Front Central Committee, Đỗ Văn Chiến, and a visiting delegation from the VKBIA.

The VKBIA has been a significant player in fostering economic, trade, and investment cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea. It has been involved in billion-dollar projects in high technology, green industry, and renewable energy, making it an important bridge between the two nations.

The association has worked closely with major groups such as Samsung, LG, and GS Energy, facilitating linkages between Vietnamese and RoK localities and promoting investment and boosting tourism cooperation. The VKBIA's activities are intended to bring practical benefits and contribute more to national development and defense.

In the meeting, Đỗ Văn Chiến particularly emphasized key areas such as green industry, renewable energy, smart cities, and high technology. He called on the VKBIA to continue promoting its role as a bridge, leveraging its knowledge of markets and networks to expand collaboration in investment, trade, and science and technology.

The VKBIA has also partnered with universities and training organizations to launch scholarships and human resource programs in priority sectors like green technology, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence. This move is aimed at further strengthening the association's role in Vietnam's development.

Đỗ Văn Chiến affirmed that the VFF would continue to accompany and support the VKBIA so that its activities bring practical benefits, contributing more to national development and defense. He stressed that the VKBIA has significantly contributed to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and friendship between the two nations.

The delegation is in Hà Nội to attend the upcoming parade marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day. The VKBIA's commitment to supporting Vietnam's northwestern provinces and its continued growth as a credible organization underscores its importance in the ongoing relationship between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
