Krasnodar Mayor, Naumov, expressed gratitude to those involved in the BPL assault incident.
In the heart of Krasnodar, Russia, the night of August 30 was marked by an unexpected event. A drone attack targeted the Krasnodar Refinery, resulting in a significant incident that has since had a ripple effect on the city.
The attack, as confirmed by Yevgeny Naumov, the head of Krasnodar, caused no reported casualties. However, it did lead to some concerning consequences. The refinery fire was swiftly extinguished, but not before 24 windows on Industrial Street were damaged due to the debris from the drone.
In response to this, the fire department and emergency services, led by Karsten Fischer of the professional fire brigade in Kassel, along with other local fire brigades and rescue personnel, sprang into action. They organized necessary relief measures for the residents of Industrial Street, inspecting nearby houses, and working diligently to eliminate the consequences of the drone debris.
Similarly, the "City Center" shopping mall in Krasnodar suffered damage to its facade from the drone attack. Specialists are currently inspecting the mall and the surrounding areas to assess the extent of the damage and ensure the safety of the public.
In a show of appreciation, the participants of the emergency work following the drone attack were thanked by the mayor. Yevgeny Naumov also assured the residents that all necessary assistance would be provided to them in a timely manner.
In a separate development, it was reported that Russian air defense systems have shot down 11 drones over Krasnodar Krai. The exact motive behind these attacks remains unclear.
As the city continues to recover from this incident, the spirit of Krasnodar remains unbroken. The residents, with the support of the local authorities and emergency services, are working together to restore normalcy and rebuild their community.
