Kristen Foxen Makes History as Highest-Earning Woman in Poker

Kristen Foxen and Christoph Vogelsang have made history at the Triton Super High Roller Series in Jeju, South Korea. Foxen became the highest-earning woman in poker history, while Vogelsang secured his second Triton Super High Roller Series title.

Foxen's journey was far from easy. Starting as the shortest stack in a three-handed play, she managed to outlast Stephen Chidwick and Mike Watson, who himself is now a five-time Triton Champion. Her crucial double-up attempt in a blind-versus-blind confrontation was foiled by an unfavorable river card, but she pushed through to secure a third-place finish in Event #10, earning a massive $1,104,000 - her biggest cash and first seven-figure score. This victory also saw her surpass Vanessa Selbst's previous record, with her total live tournament earnings now standing at $12,183,462.

Meanwhile, Vogelsang triumphed in Event #9: $100K NLH Main Event, his second Triton Super High Roller Series title. He agreed to a chop in the heads-up with Samuel Muller, ultimately winning the title and $4,099,975. Vogelsang's impressive hero call against Aleks Ponakovs helped him secure a commanding chip lead en route to his victory.

In other news, Joshua Gebissa, a former footballer and German-speaking player, won the Triton ONE Main Event, defeating Thai high-stakes pro Punnat Punsri. He became the first-ever Triton ONE Main Event champion, taking home $975,225 in prize money.
