Cyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Incident in Friedrichshafen
In an unfortunate turn of events, a cyclist was found lying on the ground in Olgastraße, Friedrichshafen, on Saturday evening at approximately 19:30. The man, aged 50, sustained shoulder injuries and was taken to a hospital for further examination, as he claimed to have been brushed by an unknown car and fallen as a result.
The incident did not occur in Sipplingen, contrary to some initial reports. Instead, it happened on the P2 parking lot in Seestraße, but the location of the cyclist's accident in Olgastraße remains separate. The police believe that a white Renault may have been involved in the incident, possibly causing damage while parking or maneuvering. No further details about the unknown car were provided, but it is believed that the vehicle may have caused several thousand euros in damage to a parked Mercedes-Benz GLE in Seestraße, Sipplingen, between 17:25 and 23:55 on Saturday evening. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz was not present at the scene and did not leave their details.
The man was found to be significantly intoxicated, resulting in a blood sample being taken. The driver of the white Renault is asked to come forward and provide their details to the police.
