Law enforcement authorities are safeguarding motorcycles and money within the subculture of rock music enthusiasts
In a significant development, the police have secured ten motorcycles during a large-scale raid in the biker scene, as part of an ongoing investigation in southern Thuringia. The operation, involving 250 deployment forces, also resulted in the seizure of several tens of thousands of euros in cash, small amounts of drugs, a throwing star, a fist knife, and various storage media.
The raid, which took place across 18 objects in Saxony, Thuringia, and Bavaria, saw special units of the LKA in action in a clubhouse in Schleusingen, Thuringia, and residential, business, and storage rooms in Schleusingen, Themar, Hildburghausen, Schleiz (Thuringia), Leipzig (Saxony), and in the Franconia region (Bavaria).
The focus of the investigations remains in southern Thuringia, where biker groups and individual members have been particularly active recently. The state interior ministry has announced that a threat potential cannot be derived from biker groups' social network activities at present.
However, the LKA has not disclosed details about the backgrounds of the acts yet, and no indications of political backgrounds have been found in the crimes so far. The investigators are also looking into drug offenses as part of the ongoing investigations.
It's still too early for the LKA to disclose details about the acts' backgrounds, and no details about the specific biker groups or individual bikers affected by the investigations conducted in Süddithmarschen have been revealed. The police are urging anyone with information relevant to the case to come forward.
The state interior ministry made this announcement in response to a small request in the state parliament at the end of last year. The ministry emphasised that the investigations are not currently focusing on political backgrounds to the crimes, and no details about the backgrounds of the acts have been revealed by the LKA.
As the investigation continues, the police are working tirelessly to gather evidence and bring those responsible to justice. The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
