Law enforcement authorities in Poland have announced findings of their recent investigation.
In the heart of Bocholt, Germany, an unfortunate incident unfolded on August 19, 2025, at 16:35. The accident took place at the intersection of Theodor-Heuss-Ring and Ebertstraße.
According to the Borken County Police Department, the incident involved a Pedelec rider, an 86-year-old man from Bocholt, and a cyclist who fled the scene. The Pedelec rider suffered minor injuries during the collision.
The accident occurred when the cyclist overtook the Pedelec rider and, in a sudden manoeuvre, turned left, causing a collision. The Pedelec rider was merging from the road onto the bike path of the Industriestraße at the time of the incident.
The cyclist, described as approximately 20 to 25 years old, about 1.70 meters tall with long black hair, was wearing a green t-shirt and riding a black sports bicycle. She was accompanied by another cyclist at the time of the accident. Initially, she helped the injured man but then left without fulfilling her legal obligations.
The Borken County Police Department is now seeking the identity of the unknown female cyclist. They urge her to contact the traffic commission in Bocholt, Tel. (02871) 2990.
