A 55-year-old German man was arrested on Saturday evening at 8:45 PM following a brawl near a station in Elmshorn. The arrest was due to an arrest warrant issued by a public prosecutor's office, as the man was ignoring a €2,500 fine from a 2022 conviction for insults.

The perpetrator, who was found to be illegally staying in Germany, was apprehended by federal police officers who intervened to break up the brawl. Upon arrest, a breath alcohol test showed 2.26 per mille for the man, and he also stated that he had consumed drugs.

During further checks, a ready-to-use switchblade was seized from the man. As a result, he received charges for attempted homicide, resisting law enforcement, bodily harm, and violating the Residence Act.

A 17-year-old Macedonian was also the focus of federal police later that night. The teenager was found carrying a ready-to-use switchblade, which was seized, and now faces criminal proceedings for carrying a prohibited object.
