Law enforcement authorities seek individuals who may have observed relevant events.

In the early hours of this morning, an incident of bodily harm took place in Greifswald, Germany, at Ernst-Thälmann-Ring, house number 40 A.

At around 00:50, a 45-year-old German man was riding his bicycle when he was approached by an unidentified male. The suspect punched the man in the face, causing at least minor injuries.

The police are currently investigating the incident, with the Police Inspectorate Anklam leading the investigation. The head of the Police Inspection Anklam is not explicitly named in connection with the incident, but the deputy head, Police Chief Inspector Arne Zarbock, has been linked to the case.

Anyone with information about the possible suspect is urged to contact the Greifswald Police Headquarters at 03834 540-0. Alternatively, information can be provided to the MV State Police's online police station at www.polizei.mvnet.de. Information can also be provided to any other police station.

The police are appealing for witnesses who may have observed something in the vicinity of the crime. They are also asking anyone who has any relevant information to come forward. The suspect was last seen fleeing in the direction of Makarenkostrasse.
