News Article: Drug-Impaired Suspects Arrested in Hagen Supermarket Shoplifting Incident
On Monday, June 23, 2025, a shoplifting incident occurred at a supermarket on Freiligrathstraße, Hagen. The Hagen Police responded promptly to the incident, with a store detective apprehending two individuals involved - a 31-year-old and a 25-year-old.
According to the police report, the duo had a history of similar offences in the area. Furthermore, during the arrest, indications of drug consumption were found, leading to a voluntary drug test. The test results showed positive for cannabis.
The 31-year-old was also found to be driving under the influence of drugs during the incident. He was temporarily arrested after admitting to driving to the store in his Mercedes-Benz.
Both individuals were taken to the police station, where a doctor took a blood sample from the 31-year-old for further evidence. The Criminal Police have since taken over the investigation.
