Law enforcement halts 35-year-old individual on motorway A1
On Sunday evening, a 35-year-old German national was stopped by the Münster Police on the A1 at Ladbergen at 17:22. The driver was under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as a voluntary breath alcohol test showed a reading of 0.22%, and a voluntary drug test was positive for cocaine, methamphetamine, THC, amphetamine, and MDMA.
The car involved in the incident has been off the road for several months, and the license plates attached to it are registered to a tractor and a person unknown to the driver. Witnesses reported that the driver was driving his VW in a zigzag pattern and consuming drugs while driving.
The driver did not have a valid driver's license, and the police secured the attached license plates and car keys. The 35-year-old suspect was taken to a police station for a blood test, and the name of the individual has not been publicly disclosed.
