Law enforcement is enforcing controls over illicit substances at roadblocks.
In an effort to improve safety and order in the Bahnhofsviertel and station area of Bremen, Germany, the local police force carried out extensive controls on Wednesday. The operation, which was part of ongoing efforts, saw more than 45 people controlled during the course of the day.
The Bremen Police, reinforced in its operations for many weeks and months, intervened in several street deals, resulting in the seizure of various drugs, cash, and medication. The seized substances included cocaine, cannabis, heroin, and prescription drugs.
A significant incident occurred when a 39-year-old man attempted to purchase cocaine beforehand and strongly resisted a control. He was brought to the ground and handcuffed after the altercation. Criminal charges were filed against him for cannabis consumption and violations of the narcotics and medication laws.
