Law enforcement is seeking any individuals who may have observed or have information regarding break-ins occurring in the Recklinghausen/Bottrop region.
In the past few days, several burglaries have been reported in the cities of Recklinghausen and Marl, according to the Police Headquarters in Recklinghausen. Here's a summary of the incidents:
- On Hohenzollernstraße, Recklinghausen, unknown perpetrators broke into a single-family house between 14:00 and 20:00 on Thursday and made off with a safe containing cash and a coin collection. The police are currently without any leads regarding the individuals responsible.
- A burglary was reported on Schützenstraße, Recklinghausen, where unknown individuals forced their way into an apartment in a multi-family house between Wednesday evening and Thursday evening. It remains unclear if anything was stolen.
- On Riegestraße, Marl, a witness observed an unknown man, accompanied by another man and a woman, trying to enter a ground-floor apartment through a bathroom window. The suspects, who later fled towards Hervester Straße, were seen leaving in a dark gray station wagon. The male suspect is described as approximately 1.80-1.85m tall, slim build, light-colored shirt with buttons, darker pants, pale, beard, flat nose. The female suspect is approximately 1.60-1.65m tall, narrow shoulders, wider hips, black hair tied up at the back, jeans. No description was provided for the third suspect.
- Unknown perpetrators gained access to a ground-floor apartment on Morianstraße, Recklinghausen, between 13:00 and 15:00 on Thursday. The police are still investigating this case and have not yet released any information about potential stolen items.
- The perpetrators in the Riegestraße, Marl incident mainly searched the bedroom for loot on Uechtmannstraße, Gladbeck. Whether other valuables were stolen from the house on Uechtmannstraße cannot yet be said. No suspects have been identified for this break-in.
- Between 08:30 and 11:00 on Wednesday morning, unknown perpetrators broke into a single-family house on Uechtmannstraße, Gladbeck, through the terrace door. It is certain that jewelry was stolen from the house.
